Which includes all kind of waste such as municipal solid waste, bio-medical waste, industrial waste and electronic, etc... Solid waste consists of organic or inorganic constituents, which causes environment pollution if not handled properly. Solid waste management is a process, which includes collection, transport, treatment and disposal of waste.

Solid waste management is a complex process, where the problems intensity increase with time to time. Many municipal bodies are failing to provide 100% efficiency in the solid waste management system. The solid waste management data of a particular place is often not available sometimes, this disturbance the planning and execution stages of the management system.   4. Convert the information of different types and forms into the GIS database.
  5. Use ArcGIS or Quantum GIS software for preparing the maps.
  6. Also, create the spatial data of waste disposal points using collected data.
  7. Conduct a survey to determine the solid waste generation in the entire area.
  8. Add these data into the GIS database(using softwares) and prepare the final map.
  9. Analysis of prepared final maps will helps to create or follow an organised way to achieve the maximum efficiency in the solid waste management system.
