The electricity which is produced is getting lowered day by day and more need and demand for electric current is developed.

There are many sources of elements that produce energy like wind energy, hydro energy, etc.

The only resource which is least used is solar energy which is almost easy to use and also available in large quantity in nature.

The methods to use solar energy are very less and hence needs to be developed.

After researching and studying for long years’ various methods have been developed and various attempts are being made so that this form of energy can be used to the maximum extent.

Hence the idea of using solar energy and converting it to usable electric energy was developed where solar energy was converted to electric energy and was transferred to the power plants

Solar power plants are those systems where huge machines are installed to convert the available solar energy into the electrical energy and from here the energy is supplied to various systems for direct use

Purpose of the solar power plant

• The PV generating stations require a large amount of land
• In countries like India, there is a huge problem of land acquisition
• If even small PV generating stations are installed, then the city would be filled with small ponds

Constructional details

• Solar PV module:

1. The place where peak production can be obtained, many solar cells are joined here and formation of the solar panel is done.
2. The front portion is covered by glass which is tempered and clearly textured and which has low iron content for efficient sunlight absorption
3. The backside is covered by a sheet of EVA to provide protection against various conditions of the environment

• String inverter:

1. These are the inverters which are used in PV systems

• Module mounting structure:

1. These are designed for holding a number of modules over rooftop and in a serial manner

• Cable and connectors:

1. These will be extremely robust and highly resistant to mechanical load and abrasion

• Frp floating platform:

1. This is made of hollow sections for the effective buoyancy to its own weight

Conclusion

• From the above project, it can be concluded that the use of solar power plant should be developed such that the problem of lack of energy can be resolved
• It is also observed that the evaporation also reduces up to 70%
