Radio-Controlled Flying Wing
Radio Controlled flying wing one type of elongated or extended wing aircraft having more surface area on wing creating more lift. There are no embellishments or fuselage, its lightweight and fairly easy to assemble of these aircraft are having Delta shape (triangular). Its a kind of delta wing Aircraft having high speed as compared to commercial aircraft. The lift and thrust forces are much more than normal aircraft. Basically, they are made fabricating one long piece of Wood/ Coroplast/ Polyforms.

Project Description:

For making Delta wing you need lithium polymer (LiPo) batteries to stay in the air for long periods of time. The batteries operate a propeller and two or more than two servos – little motors that receive commands from a transmitter on the ground. The pilot moves the control surfaces on the aircraft to maneuver it. Carbon fiber spars are embedded in the wing to provide stability and control.

Components or kit require for Flying wing are as follows:

  1. Balsa elevons
  2. Coroplast winglets
  3. Paper Tape
  4. Control horns and control rods
  5. Polyform for wings
  6. Plastic tape

Required electronic components for project:

  1. Radio-control receiver.
  2. Servos (micro)
  3. NiMH battery
  4. Battery Charger.
  5. Radio-control transmitter
  6. 12 grams servos
  7. push propeller
