Actually, Arduino is a microcontroller, it is not the full-blown computer, so one can integrate with any other wired and wireless modules. As around us, nowadays technology is fast moving towards lots of innovation, so it is important that students will find it very stretching when they go for meeting industrial standards.

Skyfi Labs Projects
This project includes the design and development of LED analog clock using ATMEGA328. Before going to start this project, you need to study the basics of Arduino and its programming. Following are the components required to develop this project.

Arduino Nano: It is an open-source processing platform used for developing interactive objects and digital devices. The microcontroller (ATmega328) on the board is programmed using an arduino programming language (embedded C++) which consists of 14 digital I/O pins and 8 analog pins.

Hall Sensor: It is a device used for measurement of the magnitude of a magnetic field. These sensors used for proximity sensing, current sensing, and positioning applications. It stationed near to the rotary part of the motor will be able to detect orientation by measuring variations in the magnetic field very precisely.

LED: A light-emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor light source that emits when current flows through it. Electrons in the semiconductor recombine with electron holes, releasing energy in the form of photons.

Resistor: A resistor is a component that put into effect electrical resistance as a circuit element in electronic circuits with passive two-terminal. These are used to reduce current flow, to divide voltages, adjust signal levels and terminating transmission lines.

DC motor: It is an electrical machine takes electrical energy and converts into mechanical energy

Project Implementation

  1. Take one PCB in dimension 20*5cm. Fix LEDs with two different colours in series mode.
  2. Attach resistor to anode terminal and solder them with LEDs to PCB
  3. Interface with Arduino Nano to all LEDs using digital I/O pins
  4. Write a program using arduino ide software and upload it to Arduino Nano
  5. Attach a complete set of PCB to the rotor of DC motor which is controlled by the speed controller.
  6. Take a look into your cool LED analog clock

Conclusion

We can develop cool projects by changing the program, we can do an LED digital clock also with this same component.
