What is PID Controller?

A proportional integral derivative controller is a type of mechanism which uses its algorithm to calculate the potential errors all the time in the system. It gives feedback to the system whether to increase or decrease the speed of the train. Nowadays, the PID controller is used universally in all the applications for accurate and optimized control.

High-speed Railroad transport project implementation

The speed of the train is regularly monitored by the PID which gives feedback to the system. The project is developed to monitor the forward course gain of the high speeding train. The traditional handbook is less efficient and works very slow but the new PID technology is more efficient and works very fast. MATLAB will prove to be a useful tool in developing such applications which can manipulate physical quantities.

The speed of the train is regularly being monitored and the feedback is also being calculated by the application. The requirements of the project are as follows:-

The high-speed rail speed has its own built-in signalling. They are electrically driven with the help of overhead lines and it has no level crossings. The project should be made carefully with the help of MATLAB tools. All the mathematical operations which are indulged in this project such as an amplifier, train dynamics, system parameters, calculating errors, etc. This entire mathematical load will be calculated with the help of MATLAB tools. 

The HSR is becoming really popular every day and it requires a PID controller on a huge scale. With the help of MATLAB, this project can monitor the speed of the train and notify it on reaching the dangerous speed. Nowadays, the world is ending in a new age of automatic trains which drive on their own. These controllers can be helpful in that situation also. 

What is a transient performance?

In this project, transient performance is very important. Let’s have a look, in the field of electrical engineering and mechanical engineering is the message which is sent to the system when the state of the system is changed. In the field of electrical engineering, the transient performance is an impulse which dies out with time and notifies the system about that.
