In the following MATLAB project, we will look at the renewable energy system and how to convert the DC-DC using MATLAB Simulink. In this project, we will build a Solar PV System with MPPT which will help to boost the conversion process of energy. In today’s world, there is an energy crisis and renewable energy sources are emerging as the new generation needs. 

But, there are certain setbacks which hold this process the energy conversion process. For example, the solar cells use semiconductor sheet to produce an electric charge, the energy production is quite low and a lot of panels are required to produce a big amount of energy. With the emergence of new technologies, we will be able to convert energy extensively.

Procedure

The photoelectric volt which is associated with the Solar cells is connected well to establish a potential difference. The MATLAB Simulink helps in the production of more hydrogen which results in an increase in Wind-PV systems. With the help of the electrolyser application, the transformers establish the required output from the DC-DC converter.

The results are thoroughly monitored by the MATLAB which helps in creating a favourable environment. The converter which we will be working operates on the lagging of PF mode whenever there is a huge change of volt. The current is regulated with the help of ZVS switches. With load current, the peak current also decreases through the switches. The simulation and results are fed to the Simulink model in order to get the right result.

The output is generated through the rectifier which gives pure DC. The LC filter is responsible for the output. With the effective project, we will be able to increase efficiency by 15% which is a lot. A lot of energy is lost while converting the photoelectric energy into electrical energy, but with the help of this project, we can increase the efficiency of the converter. The mathematical factors which are used in the project such as PV factor are calculated using well-defined algorithms. \

The MATLAB is well suited for this project as per the calculations requirement, whereas the Simulink is also required to analyze the model. The Simulink also read the results extensively which helps in building an accurate project. The project also requires photocells which is the key ingredient for the project. This DC-DC converter project can also be used in the house for personal use.
