This project involves building a robot that can be controlled by sending the instructions to the mobile phone that is connected with it. The robot functions using the DTMF (dual tone multiple frequency) technology to establish the connection. The application of this robot varies from remote monitoring to surveillance.

Right now we have the door lock based on the keyboard (by pressing the password door will be opened), Door lock based on SMS (by sending an SMS, the door will be opened), door lock based on fingerprint (when you scan a proper fingerprint, then only the door will be unlocked) etc.

Today one of the common thing for all of us is Mobile or Smart Phone. Imagine there is robot which can be operated by your smart phone. Isn’t is cool?? Through this project you are going to build a unique walking robot which can be controlled by any smart phone.

In this era of technological advancement, we use automation for everything. There are many techniques to control devices automatically using Arduino, raspberry pi, which requires internet and some more modules to make it work.

It also requires a lot of programming to be done to make it work. Besides, this technique is costlier as we are using sensor and many more things, to control the respective appliances.

If you are using a remote-controlled robot it will work on RF circuits which come with very limitations. You will have a limitation of control and frequency.  Nowadays cell phone operated land rovers are used which provides us with a good working range and control. We use a mobile phone to control it. It has vast capabilities. The cell phone is implemented by making a phone call. There are three steps by which we will take control of the rover. Firstly, we will have a perception face. After that, we will start processing and then the action takes place.
